Job Title: Facility Maintenance Supervisor

Reports To: Project Manager / Operations Manager

Job Summary:

The Maintenance Technician Supervisor oversees the daily operations of the maintenance team, ensuring timely and effective upkeep of equipment, systems, and facilities. This role combines hands-on technical expertise with leadership responsibilities, including scheduling, training, and quality control. The supervisor ensures compliance with safety standards and coordinates with other departments to support operational efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Team Leadership & Scheduling

• Assign tasks and manage daily work schedules for maintenance staff

• Monitor team performance and provide guidance and support

• Conduct training on equipment use, safety procedures, and maintenance protocols

2. Maintenance Oversight

• Oversee preventive and corrective maintenance activities

• Ensure timely response to service requests and emergencies

• Review maintenance logs and reports for accuracy and completeness

3. Quality Control & Compliance

• Inspect completed work to ensure quality and adherence to standards

• Ensure compliance with OSHA, building codes, and company policies

• Maintain inventory of tools, parts, and supplies

3. Communication & Coordination

• Coordinate with other departments to schedule repairs and minimize downtime

• Report on equipment issues and maintenance needs to upper management

• Participate in planning for facility upgrades and improvements

Qualifications & Skills:

Education & Experience

• High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification preferred
• Minimum 3–5 years of experience in maintenance or facilities operations
• Previous supervisory or team lead experience

Technical Skills

• Strong knowledge of HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and mechanical systems
• Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals
• Proficient in using diagnostic tools and repair equipment

Soft Skills

• Excellent leadership and organizational skills
• Strong communication and problem-solving abilities
• Ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects

Certifications & Requirements

• Valid driver’s license
• OSHA Certification or equivalent
• Ability to pass a drug screening and background check
• Willingness to work overtime (typical work week: 40–60 hours)
• Ability to travel up to 100% of the time

Work Environment

• Indoor and outdoor settings depending on task
• Exposure to noise, dust, and hazardous materials
• Requires use of protective gear and adherence to safety protocols
• May involve shift work, weekends, or on-call duties

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $18.00 - $25.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 – 60 per week
