What you’ll do

• Utilize various welding techniques including MIG (Metal Inert Gas), TIG (Tungsten Inert Gas), and FCAW (Flux-Cored Arc Welding) to join metal components.
• Read and interpret blueprints and schematics to understand project specifications and requirements.
• Operate hand tools, power tools, and machinery such as press brake machines, plasma cutters, and forklifts to assist in fabrication processes.
• Perform pipe threading, ductwork assembly, and mechanical assembly with precision.
• Conduct quality checks using calipers and micrometers to ensure all dimensions meet specifications.
• Collaborate with team members on construction sites to complete projects efficiently while adhering to safety standards.
• Maintain knowledge of ASME codes & standards to ensure compliance in all welding activities.
• Engage in rigging tasks as necessary to support the movement of heavy materials.

Basic qualifications

• Proven experience in welding within a construction or manufacturing environment.
• Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to troubleshoot equipment issues.

Preferred qualifications

• Familiarity with sheet metal fabrication techniques.
• Experience with machining and soldering processes.
• Ability to perform basic math calculations related to measurements and material quantities.
