About Us:

Currently, Bearspaw First Nation members live primarily at Mînî Thnî (Morley) located 65 km. west of Calgary on the Trans-Canada Highway and Eden Valley located 120 km. south of Mînî Thnî near Longview. Bearspaw First Nation members speak the Stoney Nakoda language, which derives from the Nakoda dialect, part of the Sioux Assiniboine language family.
To address a history of discriminatory practices as it relates to First Nations children, Canada is providing funding to establish a range of prevention programs and services intended to ensure that Indigenous children do not come to attention of child and family services.
