Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate General Practitioner to join our healthcare team and practice. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in patient care, with experience in various medical settings including hospitals and outpatient facilities. Duties

  • Provide comprehensive medical examinations and assessments for patients of all ages.
  • Diagnose and treat various medical conditions, with a focus on acute care and pain management.
  • Administer medications and manage treatment plans in collaboration with other healthcare professionals.
  • Maintain accurate patient records using electronic health record systems such as AVA and Accuro.
  • Conduct research to stay updated on the latest medical practices and advancements in patient care.
  • Collect and analyze data to improve patient outcomes and enhance service delivery.
  • Offer general medical and family care, ensuring that patients receive appropriate medical attention.
  • Engage in home care visits when necessary, providing support to patients in their own environments.
  • Communicate effectively with patients and their families regarding health concerns, treatment options, and preventive measures.

Requirements

  • Medical degree from an accredited institution and valid medical license to practice in Alberta.
  • Previous hospital experience is preferred; familiarity with medical office settings is a plus.
  • Proficient in medical terminology and skilled in medication administration.
  • Experience with data collection methods for research purposes is advantageous.
  • Strong interpersonal skills to foster positive relationships with patients and colleagues.
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team to deliver optimal patient care.
  • Commitment to continuous learning and professional development in the field of medicine.
