Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate General Practitioner to join our healthcare team and practice. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in patient care, with experience in various medical settings including hospitals and outpatient facilities. Duties
- Provide comprehensive medical examinations and assessments for patients of all ages.
- Diagnose and treat various medical conditions, with a focus on acute care and pain management.
- Administer medications and manage treatment plans in collaboration with other healthcare professionals.
- Maintain accurate patient records using electronic health record systems such as AVA and Accuro.
- Conduct research to stay updated on the latest medical practices and advancements in patient care.
- Collect and analyze data to improve patient outcomes and enhance service delivery.
- Offer general medical and family care, ensuring that patients receive appropriate medical attention.
- Engage in home care visits when necessary, providing support to patients in their own environments.
- Communicate effectively with patients and their families regarding health concerns, treatment options, and preventive measures.
Requirements
- Medical degree from an accredited institution and valid medical license to practice in Alberta.
- Previous hospital experience is preferred; familiarity with medical office settings is a plus.
- Proficient in medical terminology and skilled in medication administration.
- Experience with data collection methods for research purposes is advantageous.
- Strong interpersonal skills to foster positive relationships with patients and colleagues.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team to deliver optimal patient care.
- Commitment to continuous learning and professional development in the field of medicine.
