Join us to connect whānau with wider Plunket services. We’re seeking the support of a Family Start Administrator to join our team in a permanent part time role working 3 days a week (office hours, days of work can be negotiated) and based at our Palmerston North office.
Te Whiwhinga mahi | The opportunity
The early years are a special and often busy time for whānau. To contribute towards our pro-equity journey and ensuring that our tamariki are well cared for, we are looking for an enthusiastic and capable Administrator to join our team. You will work as part of a Regional Administration Team providing administration support to our Family Start and B4 School teams.
In addition to the email and phone based mahi, this position also involves some data entry and database management to ensure both our clients and staff know where they are going, who they are meeting and what to expect. You will also process referrals and paperwork from external providers to then input into our systems, and lead any vehicle based administration tasks such as booking in car services.
You will be working alongside a team of administrators supporting a regional team of Clinical staff in a varied range of administration tasks. Sound data entry and strong customer service skills are essential as these are major components of this role.
The hourly pay rate for this role is between $27.80 - $30.35 per hour, depending on experience

As part of our front-line team, being able to quickly build rapport and gain trust will be the key to your success. While ensuring each interaction with our whānau is a good one, you will also be confident in being able to work at pace and managing multiple priorities. Your strong communication skills, well developed organisational skills and sound working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite will ensure you support the teams across the Central region with ease.
You will also be/have:
- Experience in accurate data entry
- Experience in delivering exceptional customer service
- A desire to play a key part in our pro-equity journey to ensure our communities thrive.
- A full drivers licence.
