Farm General Operative

Location: 4km from Ballyconnell town, 14km from Ballinamore, 14km from Derrylin, 28km from Cavan town, 32km from Enniskillen

Remuneration : Negotiable

Purpose of the Role:

To support the farm sections from planning and implementing of the day to day procedures to ensure a maximum health and performance status of the pigs on site.

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

Day to Day Management Duties

·Daily duties of piglet management

·Feeding & grading duties

·Maintain flow within post weaning process to capitalizes on a maximise growth & feed conversion performance.

·Administration of medication for treatment and prevention of disease and post treatment monitoring

Animal Production Performance

·Assist and co-ordinate with the day to day recording and performance to identify avenues to improve health and wellbeing

Feed Trials

·Assist and coordinate new feeding plans and diets and gather the relevant performance data and recommend improvements

Experience and Qualifications

·Experience in a previous farming role beneficial but not necessary

·From a farming background

·Interest in the Pig Industry

Full Training will be made available

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: €14.50-€16.50 per hour

Expected hours: 42 per week

Schedule:

• Day shift
• Monday to Friday
• Weekend availability
