Overview
We are seeking dedicated and hardworking individuals to join our team as a Farm Worker. This role is essential in supporting the daily operations of our farm and Wedding venue. Ensuring our animals are cared for and our land is maintained well. The ideal candidate will have a passion for animals and a willingness to learn about various farming practices which include mowing and weed eating, caring for 2 horses, one pony, a Camel, two alpacas, two donkeys, three goats, one lamb, two deer, chickens and ducks and 5 dogs.
Duties
- Assist in feeding and cleaning stall, pastures and paddocks.
- Operate and maintain farm machinery and power tools safely and effectively.
- Utilize hand tools for various tasks related to grass mowing and animal care.
- Provide care for livestock, including feeding, grooming, and monitoring health.
- Perform routine maintenance on equipment to ensure optimal performance.
Skills
- Knowledge of farm operations and animal care.
- Experience with farm machinery and power tools is preferred.
- Mechanical knowledge to troubleshoot and repair equipment as needed.
- Proficiency in using mowers, weed eaters, and chain saws is preferred.
- Experience in animal care, particularly with equine or livestock is a plus.
- Familiarity with repairing equipment, welding, oil changes is a plus.
