Farmfit & Service Field Specialist

ST Italy part of STgenetics® is currently seeking a highly motivated, knowledgeable, and friendly field specialist to join our Farmfit & Service Field team, working with biotechnology in the dairy and beef industry. In this full-time, customer-facing role, you will travel to customer farms to assist with installation, troubleshoot issues, and train new customers, while delivering exceptional customer service. You will provide your technical expertise on our various product options in a friendly and helpful manner, treating potential customers with utmost respect and ensuring a professional experience that drives success for all our customers.

Duties and responsibilities:

• Conduct site surveys, install and test equipment, and provide hands-on training and troubleshooting at customer locations.
• Deliver ongoing technical support, demonstrate product functionality, and communicate specifications clearly to ensure customer satisfaction.
• Work closely with the sales team to align technical solutions with customer needs.
• Support the setup and maintenance of lab infrastructure (plumbing, electrical, HVAC), manage service tickets, and coordinate with vendors for parts and repairs.
• Perform routine equipment checks, document services, and ensure timely resolution of technical issues.
• Train technicians on troubleshooting procedures and oversee internal or vendor-led equipment repairs

Required qualifications

• College degree in animal science or related field and/or experience and knowledge of the dairy or beef industries.
• Experience working in a farm environment.
• Able to work cooperatively as part of a team.
• Desire to continue to develop skills and knowledge.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
• English language B2 level; bilingual in Spanish, French, Italian, or German, desirable.
• Outstanding interpersonal skills and a positive attitude.
• Strong work ethic, self-motivated.
• Being able to travel 50-80% of your time.

• Gross annual salary between €30,000 - €40,000, depending on relevant work experience.
