Fashion And Beauty Assistant – Good Housekeeping

Your key responsibility will be to ensure the Fashion and Beauty teams at Good Housekeeping UK deliver high-quality content on time, within budget, and in line with the Brand Plan.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Creating and producing engaging editorial content for fashion and beauty across the print and digital platforms.
  • Supporting the Fashion Director, Senior Beauty Editor/Group Beauty Director with the smooth running of the fashion and beauty departments and associated workflow.
  • Producing and building products such as the newsletter and app content for the fashion and beauty channels.
  • Monitoring trends/news and contributing ideas for the Good Housekeeping daily digital meetings. Covering the meeting if required due to senior team absence.
  • Working closely with the art team and subs for the smooth production of pages.
  • Acting as an ambassador for our brands externally, at fashion and beauty events and trips.
  • Attending relevant departmental and brand meetings.
  • Ensuring support of our commercial partners.·
  • Engaging with commercial and marketing activity where required.
  • Assisting with brand diversification projects, including beauty boxes, licensing and events.

ABOUT YOU

  • Highly proficient with using a Mac, and must be able to use excel to manage a budget / timelines.
  • Relevant experience of assisting stylist on fashion / beauty / interiors shoots, probably on a major magazine and/or national news brand.
  • Experience of using digital CMS software in a professional publishing environment is essential.
  • Excellent at subbing copy, keen eye for detail.
  • Must be able to attend shoots and events outside of working hours
  • Must be able to work as part of a creative team
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Must have good attention to detail and be organised, efficient and confident
  • Able to clearly articulate what the Good Housekeeping brand stands for, and to enthuse about the brand and its customers to fashion and beauty PR contacts.
  • Ability to work to deadlines and multi-task.
