A Food & Beverage (F&B) Service Associate is the face of hospitality in a dining establishment, resort, or hotel. They are responsible for greeting guests, taking orders, serving food and beverages accurately, and ensuring guest satisfaction. This role bridges the gap between the kitchen and the dining room to create memorable culinary experiences.
Key Responsibilities
- Guest Relations: Welcome guests, escort them to tables, present menus, and offer personalized recommendations.
- Order & Service Execution: Accurately take and relay food and beverage orders to the kitchen or bar. Serve items promptly while strictly adhering to established service standards.
- Table Management: Set up and maintain dining areas with clean tableware, linens, and condiments. Clear tables and prepare for the next guest.
- Cross-Departmental Coordination: Communicate with kitchen and bar staff to ensure orders are perfectly timed and special dietary needs are addressed.
- Hygiene & Safety: Maintain impeccable personal grooming, and strictly comply with all local health, safety, and food hygiene regulations.
- Inventory & Billing: Assist with stock replenishment, table clearing, and handling transactions or processing payments.
Essential Qualifications
- Education: A diploma or certification in F&B Service or Hotel Management is highly preferred. Basic math and English proficiency are typically required.
- Experience: 1–3 years of hands-on experience in a restaurant, or luxury hospitality environment.
- Physical Requirements: Ability to walk, stand, and lift or carry heavy service trays for extended periods. The schedule often requires flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays.
Core Skills
- Customer Service: Exceptional interpersonal skills and the ability to anticipate guest needs proactively.
- Communication: Clear verbal communication in the local language; fluency in multiple languages is an asset.
- Teamwork: The ability to collaborate efficiently in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
- Technical: Familiarity with Point of Sale (POS) systems, table management software, and basic inventory tracking
Pay: ₹10,500.00 - ₹14,500.00 per month
