Female Disability Support Worker (Casual, Pooling For Wollert House)

Disability Support Workers provide assistance to a person with a disability with everyday tasks that a person without a disability would be doing for themselves and may include, and not be limited to, the following activities:

PERSONAL CARE- Manual Handling; Showering; Toileting; Grooming; Exercise, communication, personal development

MEAL ASSISTANCE - Meal preparation or assist clients in making their own meals.

COMMUNITY ACCESS - Recreational and social activities includes shopping and accompanying clients to doctor's appointment

HOUSEKEEPING - doing domestic responsibilities such as housekeeping and sanitation.

ADMIN MEDICATION - assisting clients on their medication.

Disability Support Workers will record case notes that detail progress against PCP goals following each shift.

Qualifications:

- Candidates must at least one year of experience handling complex clients including those with mental health issues and intellectual disabilities

- PREFERABLY : those with unlimited work hour restrictions and those who are residing within the following areas: - Powelltown, Victoria, Three Bridges, Australia · Gladysdale, Australia · Warburton, Australia · Warburton East, Australia · Wesburn, Australia or any nearby places.

- With Full Victorian Driver's License.

- Flexible and adaptable. Able to work in a changing working environment.

- Patient, people-centered and hardworking.

- Candidates must have the following Mandatory Requirements such as:

  • NDIS Worker Screening Check
  • Certificate III /IV of Ageing Support, Individual Support or Disability Support or equivalent.
  • Current First Aid Level 2
  • Current CPR (Annual)
  • A working permit is required for those on a special visa (e.g. student visa)
  • Working with Children Check
  • Victorial Driver's License
  • Triple COVID-19 Vaccination
  • Current police check (less than 6 months old)
  • Administration of Medication
  • Manual Handling
  • Certificate of NDIS Worker Orientation Module
  • Infection control certificate

- PREFERABLY: Those with UNLIMITED WORKING HOURS CONDITION on their Work Entitlement.

Job Types: Full-time, Casual

Pay: $31.00 – $37.00 per hour

Expected hours: 31.00 – 37.00 per week
