We are looking to add to our team of Fiber Splicing Specialists here at HyperTower.

No prior fiber optic experience is required to join our team. We offer a 6-month apprenticeship program where we will teach you the basics of how to do your job well. While in this program, you will still receive full benefits, and hotels paid for by HyperTower. During that time frame, your compensation will be $32/hr (including per diem). After completing the 6 month apprenticeship program, you will be moved up to our base pay rate for an experienced splicer, which is $35/hour (including per diem). Raises are based on performance, so as you grow your skills, you can fully expect to be earning $40.00/hr by 2 years of employment and $45.00/hr by 3 years of employment (including per diem). The typical compensation for a fiber splicer that has been on our team for over 5 years is $50-$55+ per hour (including per diem), depending on each person’s capabilities and performance level. In addition to that, all of our employees also receive medical, dental and vision insurance (paid entirely by HyperTower), a $50,000 life insurance policy paid by HyperTower, hotels fully paid by HyperTower, full service 401(k) with 5% company match, paid holidays, paid sick time & paid time off.

This is a full-time traveling position. We travel all over Missouri, Iowa and the surrounding states, so you will be staying in a hotel Monday through Thursday. Our typical rotation schedule consists of driving to the project on Monday morning, staying on the road throughout the week, and then driving home Friday afternoon. This allows everyone to be home Friday night through Monday morning each week. We value quality time with family and friends, which is why we do what it takes to ensure that 100% of our team members are allowed to be home every single weekend throughout the year. In addition, no one is required to drive a personal vehicle to a project. Each person on our team is assigned their own company truck and fuel card that will be used for driving to and from the projects.

This is not a temporary position, or an entry level position for someone that does not have prior blue collar work experience. All of our splicers are highly responsible A player employees that are entrusted with their own company truck / fuel card, company tools, and company credit card. Each person typically works by themselves throughout the entire day, and is solely responsible to pull their own weight. You must be an A player, willing to do what it takes to succeed in this career. We have high standards and are serious about getting the job done fast and efficiently, while simultaneously maintaining very high-quality workmanship.
