Marine Fiberglas/Gelcoat Repair Technician

The Repair Technician is responsible for inspecting, repairing, and refinishing gelcoat surfaces on hulls, decks, and other fiberglass products. This role involves surface preparation, color matching, application, and polishing to restore damaged gelcoat to its original condition. The ideal candidate has experience in gelcoat or fiberglass repair, keen attention to detail, and strong manual dexterity.

Job Duties:

· Visually spot imperfections in all parts.

· Repair the gel coat imperfections in all parts, using buffers, DA’s, pencil grinders etc.

· Work in a fast-paced environment.

· Non-skid and fiberglass repair.

· Performs other related duties as assigned.

Requirements:

• Past bodywork experience is necessary, marine is preferable but not necessary.
• Gelcoat experience a must.
• Ability to understand and follow written and verbal work order instructions.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Ability to work in an open air and covered non-climate-controlled environment.
• Ability to work in dusty environment and follow PPE guidelines including use of eye protection, gloves and respirators as required.
• Ability to work overtime when required.
• Ability to work within strict deadlines to meet shipment schedules.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $19.00 per hour

Expected hours: No less than 40 per week
