Canadian Armed Forces Primary Reserve (Part-time)

Only applicants aged between 16 and 57, A Grade 10 Level Education or Equivalent and Canadian Citizens/Permanent Residents will be considered at this time.

Join the 15th Field Artillery Regiment, The Royal Regiment of Canadian Artillery as a Gunner in order to receive leadership, mentorship, and the benefits of employment on a part-time and full-time training basis.

Artillery Soldiers spend time training with small-arms, artillery weapon systems, survey devices, computation and communication systems. You can go from participating in a team of people operating howitzers, to become a forward observer observing the enemy and calling in artillery fire and air strikes. As part of our Regiment, you will experience exciting training in Canada, with the opportunity to deploy abroad.

Army Reservists typically serve one or more evenings a week and/or during weekends at locations close to home.

In order to apply you must:

  • Be 18 years of age (or 16 with parental consent)
  • Have minimum Grade 10 education*
  • Be a Canadian Citizen or Permanent Resident

*Officer applicants are required to either possess or be in process of obtaining a University degree.

As a private recruit the pay rate is $127.22 for a full-day.

As a Bombardier (Corporal) the pay rate goes up to $185.20 for a full-day.
