Job Description

We are currently seeking a qualified Field Coordinator to join our Infrastructure team, based out of Toronto, ON. The Field Coordinator will be support managing the Contractor’s execution of work planning and packaging, by undertaking and reviewing quantity verification and validation, safety and quality control, technical inspection and testing knowledge, and coordination handing over and turnover processes. Your work will contribute to ensuring field activities operate safely, are complete, and conform to quality standards and project requirements. In addition, your responsibilities are to report construction related events on a timely basis including daily reports, weekly reports, and monthly reports. You will have the opportunity to be part of the Delivery Partner team for the Ontario Line Subway project.
Bantrel Infrastructure, is a key sub-vendor to Bechtel, have been appointed the Delivery Partner within an integrated team with the customer, Metrolinx, for the Ontario Line Subway (OLS) Project and will work in a Delivery Partner role within an integrated team with the customer organization for a Subway Project in Toronto, Ontario. The project scope includes the design build, operations and maintenance of all infrastructure and rail systems associated with 15 stations and over 15km of new alignment, being performed by two key PPP Contractors and multiple advanced early works (EAW) packages Contractors and two large Progressive Design Build Contracts. The scope includes both managing the Works associated with the program and with the individual construction projects.

Duties & Responsibilities:
- Supports the field teams in monitoring the activities of contractor to ensure compliance with project technical requirements.
- Ensures that health and safety is the primary consideration during the delivery of the work.
- Track and expedites the review of safety and construction submittals.
- Verifies and tracks installed quantities.
- Prepares and maintains daily reports.
Qualifications
- Relevant bachelor’s degree from an accredited university. 1-2 years of experience or 5-6 years of relevant work in lieu of degree
- Experience of working in a heavy civil project environment as part of a construction and/or engineering team, either as an intern or entry level.
- Basic understanding of the mechanics of delivering construction projects.
- Awareness of construction site safety and basic good environmental practices.
- Detail orientated, diligent and able to work in teams or alone.
- Enthusiastic and resilient.
- Good relationship building skills and communication skills (verbal and written).
- Fluent in using Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint.

Base Annual Salary: $75,000 to $90,000 CAD per year (Bantrel provides a competitive compensation package that reflects the skills, qualifications, and experience relevant to the role. The figures shared represent base salary only and do not include other elements of the Total Rewards offering. Final compensation will be determined based on the successful candidate’s experience and alignment with the role requirements.)
