As the Field Sales Manager for Auckland/Northland at DB Breweries, you’ll lead a dynamic team of 8, including Territory Managers and Sales Merchandiser, across On and Off Premise channels. With strong negotiation skills, you’ll coach your team to excel in delivering key company KPIs such as volume growth, NPD, and market share. You’ll drive team development by ensuring they have the tools, training, and support to succeed in a multi-channel environment while building strong regional customer relationships and managing Regional Banner RSM collaborations. You’ll leverage data and market insights to uncover growth opportunities, and with your organisational skills and people-first approach. You’ll inspire your team and contribute to a positive company culture, making a lasting impact on team performance and business success.
Key Accountabilities:
- Lead the Field Sales Team, setting clear objectives, priorities, and processes, while fostering a positive, high-performance culture and ensuring structured career development and regular performance reviews.
- Positively influence customer satisfaction through the activation of channel and brand plans and the delivery of agreed service levels across multiple contact points.
- Develop and maintain strong customer relationships, ensuring compliance with customer agreements and meeting satisfaction expectations.
- Promote an “Executional Excellence” mindset, where continuous improvement is always front of mind, and Picture of Success (PICOS) priorities are delivered upon, ensuring Minimum Standards of Operations Procedures (MSOP) and sales activations meet timelines and budgets.
- Manage resources, overheads, and customer promotional funds, partnering with the Sales Acceleration team to optimise results.
- Achieve DB Breweries' Profit, Volume, and Share targets within the Sales Region, along with strategic brand performance objectives (share/price) and customer satisfaction goals measured through Coalface and Customer Gauge reporting.
- Oversee the design, implementation, and success of Revenue Growth Roadmap (RGR) plans to drive growth in the Sales Region.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety policies, attend required safety training, and report all workplace incidents and hazards.
Your background and experience:
- At least 5 years of proven success in sales or key account management within the FMCG industry, with a strong understanding of commercial strategies.
- A track record of coaching and leading teams with a constructive and empowering approach.
- A results-driven attitude with the ability to build trust, develop meaningful relationships, and deliver actionable insights.
- A full New Zealand driver’s licence is a must for this field-based role.
- Must have the right to work in New Zealand.
