Job Summary:

The Field Trainer trains the agency staff and maintains a record of training in compliance with the Office of Developmental Programs (ODP) state regulations. This role ensures that staff are fully trained and compliant with state regulations and organizational policies in order to work at the group homes.

SCHEDULE: Monday - Friday 8:30 am- 4:30pm - Be on call

PAYRATE: $60,000 annually

Location: Philadelphia, Montgomery, Hatboro

Key Responsibilities

  • Facilitate in-person and/or virtual training sessions for new hires, focusing on orientation, job responsibilities, and 2380/3800/6400/6500 regulatory compliances.
  • Deliver comprehensive instruction on health and safety practices, documentation standards, emergency procedures, and appropriate client care.
  • Reinforce understanding of the rights of individuals in care, confidentiality standards, and mandated reporting obligations.
  • Prepare, issue, and track completion certificates for orientation and annual recertification requirements.
  • Collaborate with program supervisors and Human Resources to continuously assess training needs and improve curriculum relevance.
  • Maintain up-to-date training logs, compliance checklists, and ensure all training materials reflect the current 2380/3800/6400/6500 regulations.
  • Serve as a mentor and resource for newly trained staff during their onboarding period.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in human services, Education, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
  • Experience working in group homes, foster care, or similar residential care settings is strongly preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of Pennsylvania Chapter 2380/3800/6400/6500 regulations.
  • Prior experience in training, onboarding, or adult education preferred.
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to travel to various program sites to deliver on-site training.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Knowledge of regulatory requirements and best practices in group home care.
