Top Notch Roofing is a family-owned, GAF Master Elite certified roofing company serving Chilliwack and the Fraser Valley for nearly 30 years. We're a 2026 GAF President's Club Award Winner - one of fewer than 25 contractors in Canada - and we take craftsmanship, safety, and training seriously.

We're looking for an experienced roofer who is ready to step off the roof and into a part-time training and mentoring role. This is not a production position. You won't be installing shingles or hauling materials. Instead, you'll shape how our crews work, think, and stay safe - sharing the knowledge you've earned over a long career.

This role is ideal for a semi-retired or late-career roofing professional who wants to stay active, respected, and valued without full-time hours or physical production work.

What You'll Do

• Train new and existing crew members on installation techniques and GAF standards
• Conduct field audits to ensure quality and safety
• Mentor junior roofers on problem-solving and repair diagnostics
• Document best practices and help improve consistency across crews

What We're Looking For

• 10+ years of roofing experience (residential shingle, metal, and low-slope systems)
• Deep knowledge of GAF materials and certification standards (Master Elite level preferred)
• Strong communication and teaching skills - able to explain clearly and patiently
• Respect for safety and quality as non-negotiables
• Familiarity with BC building codes and WorkSafeBC requirements
• A calm, approachable, and encouraging demeanor

Compensation & Benefits

Pay: $35-$40 per hour, based on experience and training ability

Schedule: 15-25 hours per week (flexible)
