An opportunity has arisen for a Filling Supervisor within our Manufacturing Team. As a Filling Supervisor you will work with the Vaccine Manager to supervise and develop a team of up to 11 direct reports. You will have responsibility to ensure vaccines are filled to required standards to meet customer demand in global markets.
Our Manufacturing Operations teams are the people that make our products. We work in the manufacturing plant with a “Safety First, Quality Always” mindset striving for continuous improvement. We work in the local plant connected to our global manufacturing network to ensure the highest quality of raw materials, intermediates and finished products.
In this role you will provide direction, coaching, and technical expertise to operations personnel responsible for the Filling processes. You will actively manage the team to meet customer demand (including employee development, routine 1:1 meetings and coaching, recognition, and performance management). Additionally, you will be involved in day-to-day operations in the filling department, setting rosters, liaising with other departments, implementing process improvements, and performing deviation investigations. You will become proficient in the use of manufacturing systems and must gain knowledge of site procedures in order to resolve process/equipment issues, minimise downtime, ensuring product quality and supporting the introduction of new products, processes and equipment.
What You Must have
- 5+ years of experience in a manufacturing environment within /biological /Pharmaceutical production, where you have gained working knowledge of aseptic technique is preferred, though open to other industries (eg. Dairy, food etc)
- GMP, GDP, Good Laboratory Practice (GLP) or ISO 9000 knowledge and experience in a production environment
- Demonstrated ‘hands on’ machine operation experience
- Experience with identifying and implementing process improvements
- Proven supervisory, team building & / or people management experience
- Strong written communication skills and numeracy
- Good project management skills
- Ability to follow processes and SOPs
- Good Computer skills (MS Excel, MS Word and SAP)
- A keen eye for detail with good data analysis skills
- Ability to work collaboratively and engage with the team and other teams onsite
