CASTING CALL – SHORT FILM (For Major Film Festivals: Mumbai, Goa, etc.)
Location: Vadodara (Baroda), Gujarat
Genre: Thriller | Mystery | Crime | Horror | Romance | Light Action
Duration: 10–15 minutes
ACTORS REQUIRED
We are looking for passionate actors for a high-quality festival short film.

Shoot: 1–2 days
Rehearsals: 2 days (unpaid; during recce)

Festival Awards: Awards & Prizes go to Production/Producers if Accepting the Payment on Shoots.
CREW REQUIREMENTS (With Clear Explanations)
Below are the departments involved in filmmaking — each with a short explanation for clarity:
1. Direction / Creative Department
Associate Director – Assists main direction team; manages actors, blocking, scene flow.
Assistant Director (AD) – Handles scheduling, shot order, set discipline, calls “Action!” & “Cut!”
Script Supervisor – Maintains continuity, notes scene details, tracks dialogue & shots.
Creative Assistant – Supports with rehearsals, ideas, script breakdowns.
2. Camera Department
Director of Photography (DP) – Designs the visual look (framing, lens, lighting style).
Camera Operator – Physically operates the camera based on DP’s plan.
1st AC (Focus Puller) – Keeps shots sharp and manages lens changes.
2nd AC (Clapper Loader) – Uses slate/clapper, manages memory cards & camera reports.
Camera Interns – Assist with equipment, setups, and logistics.
3. Lighting / Gaffer Department
Gaffer – Head of lighting; decides how scenes are lit.
Best Boy Electric – Second-in-command; manages electrical team & gear.
Lighting Technicians – Set up lights, cables, stands; execute lighting plan.
4. Art / Production Design
Production Designer – Decides the visual style (sets, colors, props, mood).
Art Director – Builds and arranges sets according to the design.
Set Decorator – Places furniture & decorative elements.
Prop Master – Handles all props actors use.
Construction Crew – Builds small set elements.
Art Assistants – Help dress locations and move props.
5. Costume & Makeup
Costume Designer – Plans outfits for each character.
Wardrobe Assistant – Helps actors with fittings and dressing.
Makeup Artist – Applies makeup according to character look.
Hair Stylist – Manages hairstyle continuity.
Prosthetic Artist – Special effects makeup (injuries, scars, etc.) if needed.
6. Sound Department
Production Sound Mixer – Records dialogue and all on-set sound.
Boom Operator – Holds boom mic and positions audio gear.
Sound Assistant – Manages cables, batteries, and equipment support.
7. Grip Department
Key Grip – In charge of rigging & controlling light (shaping shadows, flags, frames).
Dolly Grip – Moves camera dolly for smooth motion shots.
Grips – Assist with mounting lights, stands, reflectors, rigs.
8. Production / Management
Producer – Oversees entire production, budget, logistics.
Line Producer – Manages everyday costs and resource planning.
Unit Production Manager (UPM) – Coordinates crew, call sheets, operations.
Production Coordinator – Handles paperwork, schedules, communication.
PAs (Production Assistants) – Support all departments on set.
9. Post-Production
Editor – Cuts footage into the final film.
Assistant Editor – Prepares scenes, syncs audio, organizes timelines.
Colorist – Enhances color, contrast, mood.
VFX Artist – Adds visual effects (if any).
Sound Designer – Creates sound effects & atmosphere.
Final Sound Mixer – Balances dialogue, music, effects.
10. Music
Composer – Creates original music score.
Music Producer/Programmer – Arranges and produces soundtrack.
Musicians – Perform live instrument parts.
Music Supervisor – Selects licensed music (if needed).
ADDITIONAL CREDIT
Any contribution (locations, props, transport, equipment) will be credited under Production Department.
