Salary: $81,581.00 - $108,532.00 base salary per annum

About the role:

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Finance Analyst to join our dynamic team at St Vincent’s Hospital. In this role, you will play a pivotal part in supporting the hospital’s financial planning, analysis, and reporting functions. You will work closely with stakeholders across the organization to provide insights that drive decision-making and contribute to the delivery of exceptional healthcare services.

As a Finance Analyst, you will:

  • Collaborate with department leaders to prepare budgets, forecasts, and financial reports.

  • Analyze financial performance, identify trends, and provide actionable recommendations.

  • Support the preparation of monthly management reports, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.

  • Contribute to financial modelling and scenario analysis for strategic initiatives.

  • Assist in streamlining processes and implementing financial best practices.

Selection Criteria:

  • Personal integrity and demonstrated commitment to the Philosophy, Mission and Values of Mary Aikenhead Ministries and St Vincent’s Health Australia.

  • Degree in Finance, Accounting, Commerce or a related field (CPA/CA qualification is highly regarded).

  • Ability to engage, influence and form positive and productive relationships with a wide range of stakeholders including senior leaders.

  • Experience working in the healthcare industry, including knowledge of public hospital revenue, funding, arrangements and common cost drivers.

  • Exceptional analytical and problem- solving abilities, with a focus on accuracy and efficiency.

  • An aptitude for data analysis, budget and management reporting using Microsoft Excel, Power BI and Oracle’s computerised financial accounting systems.
