About the role:
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Finance Analyst to join our dynamic team at St Vincent’s Hospital. In this role, you will play a pivotal part in supporting the hospital’s financial planning, analysis, and reporting functions. You will work closely with stakeholders across the organization to provide insights that drive decision-making and contribute to the delivery of exceptional healthcare services.
As a Finance Analyst, you will:
Collaborate with department leaders to prepare budgets, forecasts, and financial reports.
Analyze financial performance, identify trends, and provide actionable recommendations.
Support the preparation of monthly management reports, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
Contribute to financial modelling and scenario analysis for strategic initiatives.
Assist in streamlining processes and implementing financial best practices.

Selection Criteria:
Personal integrity and demonstrated commitment to the Philosophy, Mission and Values of Mary Aikenhead Ministries and St Vincent’s Health Australia.
Degree in Finance, Accounting, Commerce or a related field (CPA/CA qualification is highly regarded).
Ability to engage, influence and form positive and productive relationships with a wide range of stakeholders including senior leaders.
Experience working in the healthcare industry, including knowledge of public hospital revenue, funding, arrangements and common cost drivers.
Exceptional analytical and problem- solving abilities, with a focus on accuracy and efficiency.
An aptitude for data analysis, budget and management reporting using Microsoft Excel, Power BI and Oracle’s computerised financial accounting systems.
