Finance and Admissions Officer - English Language School

ISI Dublin, a leading English language school, is seeking an experienced Accounts and Admissions Officer to join our team in Dublin city centre.

This is a varied, hands-on position with responsibility for accounts administration and student admissions.

Main responsibilities

Accounts

  • Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable.
  • Post sales and supplier invoices and process payments.
  • Complete bank, credit-card and café-sales reconciliations.
  • Monitor outstanding student balances and follow up on unpaid fees.
  • Process cancellations, refunds, financial adjustments and partner discounts.
  • Process monthly host-family and transfer-driver payments.
  • Reconcile petty cash and organise café cash.
  • Maintain accurate financial records and an organised digital filing system.
  • Support the Finance Manager and Directors with financial administration and reporting.

Admissions administration

  • Process confirmed bookings and maintain accurate student and booking records in SchoolWorks software (built on Salesforce).
  • Issue invoices and routine admissions, enrolment, visa and immigration documentation.
  • Process booking amendments, cancellations and other administrative changes.
  • Liaise with the Academic team and other departments regarding student start dates, holidays and arrivals.
  • Develop and maintain a good working knowledge of ISI Dublin courses, pricing, accommodation and admissions requirements.

Other duties

  • Order office, academic and café supplies and arrange equipment servicing.
  • Assist with the management of the student café and provide cover when required.
  • Provide reasonable administrative support or cover to other departments during busy periods or staff absence.

About you

You should have:

  • Relevant bookkeeping, accounts administration or finance-support experience, preferably on the Xero platform.
  • Practical experience of accounts payable, accounts receivable, bank reconciliation and payment processing.
  • A high level of accuracy and strong record-keeping skills.
  • Confidence using accounting software, spreadsheets and shared digital filing systems.
  • Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage recurring deadlines and competing priorities.
  • Good written and verbal communication skills.
  • The judgement and discretion required when handling confidential financial and personal information.
  • A practical and collaborative approach.

Experience using Xero, Salesforce and/or a student or customer-management system would be an advantage.

This is an on-site position.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: €35,000.00-€40,000.00 per year
