Description:
Reporting into the Business Finance Manager – Services, the Finance Business Partner will provide financial support and solutions to the Energy services line.
Key Responsibilities include:
Month End Reporting:
Assist in providing month end reporting requirements that meets business needs
Processing of monthly revenue and cost accruals – reconciliations where applicable and revenue summaries
Review and analyse business results and provide commentary over variances to budget/forecast/trends
Provide inputs for DSO reporting including calling-out exceptional items
Monthly inventory snapshot – focus on stock turn-over and ageing
Business Support:
Identify and recommend opportunities to deliver value to individuals/teams within our business locations and head office which would include an understanding of key productivity drivers and risk factors
Provide a high level of customer service to Operations teams and guidance to administrative teams of their business areas
Provide key input/review into financial aspect of tender (project) submissions managed by Commercial/Operational teams
Support business in submission of individual capex requests (financial returns i.e. contract rates, estimated utilisation)
Work with project team to establish cost code budgets in Jobpac
Undertake ad hoc tasks/projects as required
Group Budgets / Forecasts:
Delivery of annual business unit budgets and maintenance of forecasting model through consultation with business including quarterly reforecast
Capex-build spend forecasting and actuals reporting (materials and labour) – working with key individuals to call-out deviations on plan
Skills and Experiences:
About You
To be successful in this role, you will have:
CPA/CA qualified or working towards qualification
Minimum of 2-3 years’ experience in financial management/financial reporting
Strong technical accounting knowledge
Detail oriented with a demonstrated ability for accuracy
Strong organisational skills and multi-tasking capabilities
Strong verbal, written communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to interact with various levels of management
Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
Ability to work effectively both independently and in a team environment
Computer literate with proven operational ERP experience and good Excel skills
Previous Power BI experience beneficial but not essential
Highly developed interpersonal skills
