Northern Star Resources currently has a unique opportunity for an experienced Finance Reporting & Data Analyst to join the team at our Subiaco Office, on a permanent & full-time basis.

Reporting to the Senior Finance Systems & Planning Analyst, this role will involve the development and maintenance of group reporting systems, including Power BI and other reporting and planning systems.

Here is what awaits you.

• Develop, maintain, and enhance Power BI dashboards and reports for the business and operations, including maintenance of financial data model.
• Work closely with finance and operational teams to identify reporting needs and alignment across the group.
• Assisting with providing in-depth analysis of budgets, forecasts, and financial performance using Power BI and other tools.
• Ensure accuracy, integrity, and reliability of financial data and reporting models across the group finance systems.
• Working with other finance staff to ensure consistency and alignment between the finance systems of Pronto, Power BI, Workiva and Anaplan.
• Stay updated with best practices in Power BI, data analytics, and financial reporting.
• Other ad-hoc finance systems improvement projects.

Qualifications & Experience:

• Degree qualified in Statistics, Mathematics, Engineering, Business, or Data Science
• CA/CPA or equivalent preferred
• Proven experience in Power BI development including data modelling and report visualisation.
• Experience in working with large datasets and integrating multiple financial systems.
• Comfortable working with DAX, SQL and Power Query.
• Strong knowledge of financial concepts, reporting and budgeting.
• Good understanding of underlying data structures of Pronto and other finance systems.
• Experience in engaging with end-users, providing training, and ensuring BI adoption.
• Understanding of mining processes and cost drivers.
• Proficiency in the use of MS Office applications including Outlook, Excel, Word & PowerPoint.
