The Role
As a Financial Planner / Relationship Manager, you’ll combine relationship management, member education and financial advice to support employers and members in achieving better retirement outcomes. In this highly visible role, you’ll deliver workplace seminars and webinars, provide authorised financial advice, and build strong relationships that drive member engagement, retention and growth. Working closely with internal teams, you’ll play a key role in bringing NGS Super’s customer value proposition to life through every interaction.
What you’ll do
- Build and manage strong relationships with employers, members and key stakeholders to drive engagement, retention and growth.
- Proactively engage members, including high-value and at-risk segments, to support their financial wellbeing and retirement outcomes.
- Identify opportunities to deepen member relationships and connect members with advice, education and other fund services.
- Deliver General Advice, Intrafund Advice and personal financial advice tailored to members’ needs and goals.
- Develop and implement financial strategies across face-to-face, virtual and phone-based channels.
- Prepare compliant advice documentation and maintain accurate client records.
- Plan and deliver workplace seminars, webinars and education sessions that improve financial literacy and member engagement.
- Support employer engagement by promoting NGS Super’s products, services and advice offering.
- Maintain accurate CRM records, manage follow-up activities and report on pipeline, conversion and service outcomes.
- Ensure compliance with legislative and regulatory requirements while contributing to continuous improvement, business growth and an exceptional member experience.
A commercially aware Financial Planner with a background in Superannuation, you will bring the following key skills:
- Relevant financial planning qualifications and successful completion of the Financial Adviser Exam.
- Strong knowledge of superannuation, financial advice and the regulatory environment.
- A genuine commitment to delivering exceptional member outcomes and service.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to build trusted relationships across members, employers and stakeholders.
- Strong organisational skills, attention to detail and experience preparing compliant advice documentation.
- A collaborative approach and the ability to work effectively with internal and external support teams.
- Confidence managing complex member queries and escalations with professionalism and care.
- Strong digital literacy, including experience using CRM and financial advice systems.
- A current driver's licence and willingness to travel throughout WA as required.
- Experience working with AI and automation tools to improve ways of working, streamline processes and support practical business outcomes.
- Philosophical alignment to the ethos of Industry Funds.
