Job Summary:

Food preparation for Legends Sports Bar.

Roles and Responsibilities:

• Set up, organize and prepare assigned stations
• Operate all kitchen and specialty equipment
• Interpret and follow recipes to specific standards
• Prepare various hot and cold a la cart menu items, including washing, peeling, cutting, slicing and dicing
• Cook foods using various cooking methods including frying, steaming, poaching, grilling, roasting, sauteeing, broiling and baking
• Take and record inventories of food products
• Give clear and concise instructions to 2nd Cooks
• Assist other First cooks, Second Cooks and Stewards as needed
• Must have complete understanding of sanitary procedures
• Accommodate special request items

Qualifications:

• Minimum 5 years of cooking experience in a high volume establishment with comparable service and standards
• Experience in a minimum of two different areas of the kitchen, A la Carte Preparation/service, Banquets or production (Garde Manger & Saucier)
• MUST have Red Seal Cook Certificate (Journeyman's papers) or Recognized International Equivalent
• Proven high level of customer service
• Valid Food Handler Certificate required
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing)
• Ability to stand for the duration of the shift
• First Cook culinary skills will be tested
• Frequent heavy lifting required
• Grade 12 or equivalent
• Must be available to work all shifts

Pay: $20.59-$25.74 per hour
