Bridgepoint's Kaupapa is to 'create pathways to success' for all our students. You'll provide our students with the opportunity to develop real and authentic learning pathways that staircase them into higher education and ultimately employment. Our learning is highly contextualised and collaborative.

As a Lecturer in Bridging Education able to teach Bioscience and Human Biology, you will create a supportive and rich learning environment in and out of the classroom to achieve excellent student outcomes. You will spend time in the classroom teaching theory, but most of the learning is done through practical, hands-on experience. Our well-equipped laboratories are excellent teaching and learning facilities. You will proactively engage in Treaty Based partnerships across the organisation, demonstrating your strong commitment to Tikanga and Mātauranga Maori.

Fixed-term position starting ASAP to 12 December 2025. Part-time role with an 18.75-hour workweek, Monday to Friday.

He kōrero mōu: About you

You'll have:

• An understanding or desire to learn te reo Māori, tikanga Māori, and the values and practices of kaupapa Māori
• Evidence of active engagement in building diverse, inclusive, and equitable workplaces/environments
• Experience teaching NZQF level 3 and 4 (or equivalent NCEA level 2 and 3) bioscience (some biochemistry)/human biology and are familiar with laboratory processes.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Have worked collaboratively and effectively with staff, other professionals and students.
• Possess excellent interpersonal skills.
• Hold a relevant qualification.
• A teaching qualification would be ideal.
