Flat Roofing Kettle Operator

We are a commercial roofing company currently seeking an experienced Kettle Operator to join our team. This role involves travel throughout the GTA, Peel Region, York Region, Halton and surrounding areas.

Responsibilities:

• Safely operate and maintain the roofing kettle for hot asphalt applications
• Support roofing crews with hot mopping and built-up roofing installations
• Assist on-site with general roofing duties when kettle work is not required
• Ensure compliance with all safety standards and procedures

Requirements:

• Minimum 2 years of experience operating a kettle for hot asphalt roofing
• Valid propane training certification
• Experience with the following systems is considered an asset:
• 4-ply Built-Up Roofing (BUR)
• Hot mopping applications
• 2-ply modified bitumen systems
• Physically fit and capable of working in a demanding outdoor environment
• Strong teamwork and communication skills
• Reliable attendance and a strong work ethic

Additional Information:

• Applicants must be able to travel to various job sites across the GTA
• A valid driver’s license and access to a vehicle is required.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $28.00-$35.00 per hour
