The Opportunity:

As a Fleet Coordinator you will be responsible for assisting in the day to day management and coordination of the company’s large vehicle fleet. This role ensures that all vehicles are maintained, compliant, and operating efficiently, while supporting drivers and management with logistical planning and administrative tasks.

Responsibilities includes:

• Maintain accurate records of all fleet vehicles, including registration, insurance, and maintenance history.
• Schedule routine maintenance, repairs, and servicing of vehicles, ensuring adherence to manufacturer recommendations and safety standards.
• Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations, including vehicle licensing, insurance, and safety standards.
• Coordinate with suppliers for vehicle maintenance, repairs, and parts, negotiating prices and terms.
• Generate reports on fleet performance, costs, and utilization, providing insights for decision-making.
• Communicate effectively with internal stakeholders, including drivers, managers, and other departments.
• Manage the fleet budget, tracking expenditures, and identifying cost-saving opportunities.
• Manage the fleet inventory, including spare parts, equipment, and supplies.
• Ensure adherence to all safety procedures and protocols related to vehicle operation and maintenance.

Qualifications/Key Skills:

• Experience in a fleet coordinator, logistics coordinator or similar job.
• A basic understanding of vehicle maintenance procedures and safety regulations.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook), and potentially fleet management software.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to build rapport with stakeholders at all levels.
• Strong ability to identify and resolve issues related to fleet operations.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities effectively.
• High attention to detail, ensuring accuracy in record-keeping and reporting.
• Full Driving license required
• Rigid & Fork lift licenses also desirable
