About MOBY:

Within dense cities MOBY wants to eradicate the need for commuters to use cars and the need for delivery companies to use vans.

MOBY is an e-mobility company focused on e-bike fleets / e-bike schemes for corporates & city councils, and e-bike / e-moped / e-cargo bike solutions for the delivery / logistics industry.

Headquartered in Dublin, we operate across Ireland, the UK, Holland,, & Belgium. We launched and operated Ireland's first dockless electric bike scheme in early 2020 and evolved to become a provider of managed fleets to leading European and US corporates, food & grocery delivery businesses, & logistics companies.

We manage corporate e-bike and e-cargo bike fleets for major logistics companies, e.g. DHL, Amazon etc, and for food delivery companies such as Dominos and Just Eat Takeaway. We also provide and manage e-bike fleets for public authorities like the European Parliament, City Councils, the Dutch Police, Dublin Airport Authority and several other corporate campuses, business parks, hospitals etc and hotel brands like Hilton and Aloft. To integrate our vehicles seamlessly into cities and customers’ sites, we also offer charging and parking solutions.

MOBY has exciting and ambitious growth plans and lots of projects in development that will give it significant defensibility in this industry and will help move the world towards net zero.

Role Overview:

We’re looking for a Fleet Operations Analyst in Dublin, who will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operations of our bike sharing fleet in Dublin. Your primary responsibility will be to rebalance bikes and e-bikes across the city, ensuring optimal availability for our users. Additionally, you will be responsible for battery swaps for e-bikes and addressing any on-street maintenance needs. All operations will be managed through a dedicated app with a tech interface.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Fleet Rebalancing: Efficiently rebalance bikes and e-bikes across the city to meet demand and optimize fleet utilization.
  • Battery Swaps: Conduct timely battery swaps for e-bikes to ensure uninterrupted service.
  • On-Street Maintenance: Perform minor repairs and adjustments to bikes and e-bikes as needed.
  • App Usage: Utilize our dedicated app to track bike and e-bike locations, manage rebalancing routes, and report maintenance issues. Ensure predictive rebalancing to match the demand forecast of bikes at different locations throughout the city.
  • Data Collection: Collect and report data on bike and e-bike usage, maintenance needs, and operational efficiency to ensure high fleet healthy rates in line with our internal controls.
  • Adherence to Safety Protocols: Prioritize safety by following strict guidelines and wearing appropriate safety gear.
  • Working in close coordination with the Customer Support and Operations teams to drive initiatives for revenue growth.
  • Hire, coach and train junior fleet support staff in optimising our bike share operations in Dublin.

Requirements:

  • Excited and passionate about decarbonising our planet. You are environmentally conscious and have a passion for sustainable transportation and urban mobility.
  • 1-3 years of professional work experience; ideally 1+ year of experience within an Operations or Logistics position
  • Experience leading teams or groups
  • Familiarity with Dublin or other territories in Ireland is a plus
  • Grit and an entrepreneurial spirit with the ability to work in a warehouse environment
  • Annoyed by “waste”. Why are these bikes sitting here and not being rented?
  • Excited to be part of a scale up. You enjoy building the airplane and while it's taking off!
  • Resilient with the ability to remain calm under pressure
  • Proactive.
  • An excellent communicator. You are capable of leading broad overview / scenario discussions but you are detail oriented
  • Strong physical fitness and ability to ride a cargo bicycle.
  • Excellent time management and organizational skills.
  • Attention to detail and problem-solving abilities.
  • Familiarity with fleet management & bike sharing platforms.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and evenings.

You Get:

  • Competitive salary and amazing benefits
  • To be part of an organization in hyper-growth mode with plenty of opportunities for personal development
  • Flexible workplace with a team of extraordinary, motivated and fun co-workers
  • Autonomy and ownership of the work you do
  • To work in a well-funded scale-up with a strong leadership team and global presence
  • The full support of an experienced management team in helping you meet your targets and your professional goals
  • Quarterly team outings & events
  • Complimentary e-bike (subject to availability)
