Job Summary:
As a Fleet Technician Level II you will be responsible for performing a wide range of repairs and maintenance on landscape equipment, vehicles, and trailers. Your expertise in welding and fabrication will be crucial in ensuring that all equipment is in good working order. You will play a key role in diagnosing and troubleshooting equipment issues and working closely with manufacturers when necessary. Additionally, you will lead the evening crew in performing maintenance tasks and fueling trucks. Ability to perform minor repairs in the field will be essential to keep operations running smoothly.
Responsibilities:
As the Fleet Technician Level II your duties will include but not be limited to the following:
Troubleshooting and repair on the following:
- 60+ trucks- both gas and diesel
- Small engines- lawn mowers, trimmers, blowers, hedgers, electrical equipment: battery powered handheld equipment and mowers, and various other small
- engines.
- Machines- skid steers and mini excavators
- Utility and equipment trailers
- Fabrication/Welding/MIG Welding
- Document repairs/Complete work orders in Aspire
- Complete advanced repairs on 2-cycle and other landscape equipment
- Perform preventative maintenance such as oil changes, tire changes and other vehicle services
- Perform preventative maintenance such as oil changes, tire changes, blade sharpening and changes on equipment.
- Ensure equipment is clean, properly maintained and in good working order
- Perform evening blade changes on mowers
- Lead the evening crew to ensure all trucks are fueled and all handheld equipment maintenance is performed properly.
- Diagnose issues with equipment/vehicles
- Work with manufacturers to diagnose more complex issues
- Perform minor repairs in the field (as needed)
- Track vehicles on Azuga

Job Skills/Requirements:
- Minimum of 3 years of shop, mechanic or fleet experience
- Must be able to operate and repair a variety of 2 cycle equipment, and perform small engine repairs.
Physical Demands/Working Conditions:
- Able to lift 50 lbs. (Equipment, tools, and supplies may need to be lifted, carried and/or pushed)
- Able to walk/stand for long periods of time
- Able to reach, bend, twist, kneel, stoop, squat, crouch and grasp along with repetitive movements may be part of daily job duties.

Physical Demands:
- Work outside in various weather conditions that may be hot, cold, wet, or turbulent
- Work in environments with loud noise levels, requiring hearing protection
- Must be able to work long hours and overtime during emergencies
- Must understand and abide by all OSHA regulations, including wearing PPE
- Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds
- Must be able to stand, bend, and squat for extended periods
Schedule: 6:30am - 5:00, Monday - Thursday (OT potential)
Offered compensation: $20/hr - $27/hr
Experience and License Requirements
- Driver's License
