Title: Float RN/LPN I or II
Status: Full-time
Location: Holly Springs and West Cary, North Carolina

Join a collaborative pediatric care team serving families across the Holly Springs and West Cary clinic locations. This Float Nurse opportunity offers exposure to a wide range of clinical tasks and the ability to work across multiple providers and specialties. We are hiring for both RN and LPN positions at Levels I and II. Travel between sites is expected.

Position Options Registered Nurse (RN) - Level IKey Responsibilities:

  • Deliver direct pediatric nursing care under provider direction.
  • Manage clinic workflow to ensure timely and accurate patient services.
  • Perform standard lab testing and documentation tasks.
  • Educate patients and caregivers on care plans using evidence-based guidelines.
  • Support other nurses, medical assistants, and unlicensed personnel.

Requirements:

  • RN license in North Carolina
  • High School Diploma or equivalent; relevant healthcare coursework preferred
  • Current BCLS certification
  • Strong team orientation and problem-solving skills

Registered Nurse (RN) - Level II
Key Responsibilities:

  • Serve as a clinical leader supporting providers and team members.
  • Take initiative in managing complex patient needs independently.
  • Perform advanced telephone triage, referrals, and care coordination activities.
  • Provide mentorship and skill sign-offs for new and existing nursing staff.
  • Function as a primary resource for emergent care response.

Requirements:

  • RN license in North Carolina
  • Demonstrated Level I performance over 6-12 months
  • Current BCLS certification
  • Proficient in managing acute and chronic pediatric condition

Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) - Level I
Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide hands-on patient care under the guidance of RNs and providers.
  • Conduct basic assessments and document patient visits with accuracy.
  • Support clinic flow through appointment scheduling and telephone triage.
  • Perform routine lab tasks including capillary and heel sticks, and kit-based testing.
  • Participate in basic care coordination, follow-up calls, and documentation.

Requirements:

  • LPN license in North Carolina
  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Current BCLS certification
  • Familiarity with pediatric care preferred

Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) - Level II
Key Responsibilities:

  • Handle more complex patient needs with independence and clinical judgment.
  • Act as a peer mentor, resource, and lead for other nursing staff.
  • Independently manage telephone triage and documentation from start to finish.
  • Execute advanced lab procedures (venipuncture, catherizations, cultures).
  • Support provider care plans and participate in care coordination initiatives.

Requirements:

  • LPN license in North Carolina
  • Minimum 6-12 months of proven Level I experience with increasing responsibility
  • Current BCLS certification
  • Strong clinical judgment and proficiency in pediatric care

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $21.00 - $35.00 per hour
