Bargaintown is currently looking to recruit a Full-Time Flooring Sales Assistant for our Glasnevin Store.

About Us

Bargaintown is one of Ireland’s leading furniture and flooring retailers, with five stores across the Dublin and Wicklow region.

We are looking for a confident, customer-focused salesperson who can help customers choose the right flooring solution for their home while delivering excellent service and achieving sales targets.

The role will include:

• Greeting and assisting customers in a friendly and professional manner
• Advising customers on different flooring options, including laminate, vinyl, carpets and flooring accessories
• Helping customers select suitable flooring based on room type, style, durability, budget and practical requirements
• Calculating flooring quantities based on customer measurements
• Preparing quotations and processing sales
• Upselling and cross-selling products such as underlay, beading, door bars and other flooring accessories
• Explaining flooring features, pricing and fitting requirements clearly to customers
• Answering telephone enquiries and following up with potential customers
• Coordinating flooring orders, collections, deliveries and fitting arrangements
• Dealing with customer queries and providing accurate product information
• Maintaining flooring displays, samples and merchandising standards
• Monitoring stock and ensuring flooring samples and displays are well presented
• Working towards individual and store sales targets

The ideal candidate will have:

• Strong communication and customer service skills
• A confident and proactive approach to sales
• Ability to understand customer requirements and recommend the most suitable product
• Good numerical skills and confidence calculating flooring measurements and quantities
• Ability to upsell and cross-sell effectively
• Ability to work on their own initiative and as part of a team
• Good PC skills
• Previous retail sales experience
• Previous flooring, carpet, furniture or home improvement sales experience would be a strong advantage

Working Hours

Full-time – Monday to Saturday

Applicants must be available to work Saturdays.

Pay: €15–€16 per hour
