We have an exciting opportunity for a Food & Beverage Assistant to join our team.

About The Anner Hotel

The Anner Hotel is a 4 star hotel located in Thurles, mid-way between the cities of Cork and Dublin and is only 1.5 hours from all major cities. In the heart of Tipperary, the Anner Hotel offers great accommodation with 92 guest rooms all tastefully decorated in restful tones, fine casual dining in Ed Bistro and Seasons Restaurant, private dining, conference suites and an extensive award-winning Leisure Centre with an 18-metre pool.

The Role:

The successful candidate will be professional, enthusiastic, and trustworthy. You will demonstrate excellent communicational skills as well as the initiative required to multi-task in this busy environment.

Responsibilities

• To serve guests their food and beverage promptly and courteously in hotel restaurants and at functions held in the hotel.
• To set tables as needed prior to guest arrival.
• To ensure that their workstation is kept clean and tidy at all times.
• To ensure the smooth running of the assigned station at all times.
• To maintain a thorough working knowledge of food and beverage menus, to be able to advise guests on selection and promote additional sales accordingly.
• To promote additional sales by taking opportunities to up-sell, in a manner that is professional and courteous.

About The Role

Requirements:

• Fluent English and excellent communication skills.
• Flexibility in working hours as role includes mornings/evenings & weekends.
• Previous experience working in a food & beverage environment i.e. hotel, restaurant, bar is desired.
• All employment offers made are subject to a valid work permit and two satisfactory references.
