Getting to the Osprey : Free onsite parking for staff . Using public transport , the bus will leave you just a short walk away from the hotel. Using the train , you can hop on the feeder bus into Naas from the Sallins train station and this will leave you with just a short walk to the hotel.

The Role:

We are seeking an enthusiastic and adaptable individual to join our dynamic Bar team as a Food & Beverage Assistant. You must be available to work 40 hours per week during the week and at weekends .

This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment and enjoys delivering excellent service.

The ideal candidate will be fully flexible in the role and be available for both weekday and weekend work. Previous experience in a similar role within a hotel environment is desirable but not essential. About The Role

  • Guest Interaction & Service

    • Welcome guests promptly and warmly upon arrival.

    • Present menus, explain specials, and answer questions about food, drinks, and ingredients.
    • Take accurate food and drink orders and relay them clearly to the bar and kitchen.
    • Serve beverages, cocktails, and food items according to service standards.
    • Check back with guests to ensure satisfaction and anticipate needs.
    • Handle complaints or issues professionally and escalate when needed.

    Beverage Responsibilities

    • Prepare or assist in preparing basic drinks (depending on bar setup).
    • Serve alcoholic and non‑alcoholic beverages responsibly and in line with licensing laws.
    • Explain cocktails, wines, beers, and other beverages, including ingredients and allergens.
    • Ensure the bar is well‑stocked with glassware, garnishes, and supplies.

    ️ Food Service Duties

    • Deliver food promptly and correctly to tables or bar counters.
    • Ensure dishes are presented to standard and verify dietary/allergen requests.
    • Clear plates and glassware efficiently while maintaining guest comfort.

    Cleanliness & Hygiene

    • Keep the bar, tables, and service areas clean, tidy, and sanitized.
    • Maintain cleanliness of menus, trays, and service stations.
    • Follow all food safety and hygiene regulations.

    The Ideal Candidate

The ideal candidate will possess excellent customer service skills and have previous experience in a four-star hotel environment. They will be reliable, well-organised, and demonstrate strong teamwork and interpersonal skills, with a natural flair and enthusiasm for engaging with people.

  • Possess a high level of spoken English
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Ability to work as part of a team

Due to the nature of the business this role will involve working shifts including evenings and weekends.
