Our Food & Beverage team plays a pivotal role in creating memorable dining moments, whether it's in our Henricks All Day Dining Restaurant, In-Room Dining, or Banquets. We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Food & Beverage Supervisor to lead our team during a maternity leave coverage period.
Job Overview:
As a Food & Beverage Supervisor, you will oversee and assist in the operations of our Food & Beverage outlets to ensure an outstanding guest and member experience. You will lead by example, fostering a strong team environment, and upholding the highest standards of quality and service in line with Hilton Brand Standards.
Key Responsibilities:
Team Leadership:
Build and maintain a strong team environment.
Coach, train, and develop Food & Beverage team members.
Provide regular feedback to team members regarding their performance.
Motivate and lead the team to achieve departmental goals and objectives.
Operational Excellence:
Oversee daily operations of Hendricks All Day Dining Restaurant, In-Room Dining, and Banquets.
Welcome guests upon their arrival to Hendricks or banquet events and assist them with their seating arrangements.
Assist managers and organizers with planning the layout and logistics of events, adapting plans on the day of events if changes occur.
Manage the setup of events, including the physical setup of buffet stations, bar setups, meeting rooms, and plated dinners.
Run the floor and coordinate food and drink service by liaising with the kitchen, service staff, and onsite event contacts.
Monitor inventory of supplies, equipment, and alcoholic beverages.
Ensure proper policies and procedures are followed regarding sanitation, storage, safety, and security.
Ensure the venue and facilities remain neat and clean at all times.
Adhere to Hilton Brand Standards consistently.
Ensure the logbook and checklist are accurately completed at the end of each shift.
Assist with opening and closing duties of the Food & Beverage departments.
Supervise the setup of the breakfast buffet.
Ensure banquet setups are completed for the next day.
Assist in month-end inventory processes.
Program the MICROS POS system for any menu changes.
Accept and distribute Food & Beverage deliveries as needed.
Change and handle kegs and other equipment weighing up to approximately 50 lbs.
Familiarity with restaurant equipment and draught beer systems.
Guest Service:
Possess comprehensive knowledge of the Food & Beverage menu and be able to explain items in detail to guests.
Address and resolve guest concerns promptly and professionally.
Actively participate in running Food & Beverage promotions and team member incentives.
Collaborate with the Front Office and Duty Managers when required.
Job Requirements/Qualifications:
Minimum 2 years of operational experience in Food & Beverage within a hotel or high-quality restaurant environment.
Previous experience in supervising staff and delegating tasks.
Banquet setup experience is essential.
Strong leadership and motivational skills.
Excellent communication skills with full fluency in English (both verbal and written).
Strong computer skills; proficiency with the MICROS POS system or similar.
Ability to foster and maintain effective and respectful working relationships.
Detail-oriented with the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
Physically fit with good stamina for physical tasks such as moving and lifting furniture and standing for long periods.
Open-minded and outgoing personality.
Flexible and able to respond quickly and positively to changing requirements.
Knowledge of the local area is an asset.

Must be able to stand for long periods and lift up to 30 to 50 lbs and be able to maneuver full beer keg and CO tank up to 150 lbs.
Serving It Right Certification.
Food Safe Certification.
Employment Status: Full-Time Temporary Position (Maternity Leave Coverage) - Please note that this is a temporary position intended to cover a maternity leave, starting approximately in December 2024. The duration of employment is expected to extend up to August 2026 but may vary based on operational needs.
Job Type: Fixed term contract
Contract length: 12 -18 months
Pay: $52,000.00-$53,000.00 per year
