Overview
We are seeking a friendly and efficient Food Counter Attendant to join our team. This role involves providing excellent customer service, preparing food items, handling transactions, and maintaining a clean and organized work environment. The ideal candidate will have a passion for the food industry, strong multitasking skills, and a commitment to food safety and sanitation standards. Previous food service or restaurant experience is preferred but not required, as training will be provided. This position offers an opportunity to develop valuable skills in food preparation, cashiering, and customer service within a dynamic environment.
Responsibilities
- Greet customers warmly and take their orders accurately using POS systems such as Micros POS
- Prepare and assemble food items according to established recipes and safety standards
- Operate cash registers, handle cash transactions, and process payments efficiently
- Upsell menu items to enhance customer experience and increase sales opportunities
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of workstations, utensils, and equipment in compliance with food safety regulations
- Ensure proper food handling procedures are followed at all times
- Manage time effectively during busy periods to serve customers promptly
- Assist with inventory management by restocking supplies as needed
- Provide excellent customer service by addressing inquiries and resolving issues professionally
Skills
- Experience in food preparation and food service environments preferred
- Proficiency with POS systems such as Micros POS or similar platforms
- Strong customer service skills with a friendly and approachable demeanor
- Cash handling experience with basic math skills for accurate transactions
- Knowledge of food safety standards and sanitation practices
- Ability to multitask efficiently in a fast-paced setting
- Excellent time management skills to ensure timely service during peak hours
- Restaurant or food industry experience is a plus but not mandatory; training will be provided for all necessary procedures
- Ability to work well within a team environment while maintaining attention to detail in food handling and cleanliness
Pay: From $15.00 per hour
