The PM FOOD RUNNER is responsible to retrieve restaurant guests' food and beverage orders from the kitchen and serve to Splashes dining guests.
The expected base wage range for this position is: $16 per hour, or other minimum wage applicable to the jurisdiction. This position may be eligible for additional compensation according to the Company's policies, as they may be amended from time to time.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES, include but not limited to:
- To understand and respond to all guest needs and requests in a timely and professional manner, deferring to the Restaurant Manager when necessary, to ensure customer satisfaction.
- To extend a courteous, friendly, and professional greeting to guests as they arrive, and to thank them as they depart.
- To make the Restaurant Manager aware of all guest comments and complaints.
- To follow all specified procedures to provide prompt, efficient, and friendly customer service to guests, including describing menu items, taking and serving food and beverage orders; and presenting guest checks.
- To expedite the service of food from the kitchen to restaurant guests.
- To effectively communicate with Kitchen and Servers regarding tickets to ensure accuracy and timeliness.
- To satisfactorily perform, as directed, all routine opening and closing side duties including cleaning trays, folding napkins, and stocking and pre-set up and break-down of station to facilitate food service.
- To assist to remove used dishes from guest tables.
- To maintain the proper care and cleanliness of tableware and serving equipment, handling both to minimize breakage.
- To be familiar with menus basic descriptions and dish elements.
- To be completely familiar with all condiments and garnishes for all dishes and to be able to place them personally.
QUALIFICATIONS: English fluency required. Must have some experience in food service, and display basic knowledge of foods, service standards, and procedures. Hotel experience preferred. A valid food handlers card must be timely obtained upon hire and maintained in good standing, which time and expense may be compensable.
SKILLS AND APTITUDES: Detail oriented. Organized and efficient. Learns quickly. Safety-minded. High quality standards for production and service. Diplomatic and calm. Strong verbal communications skills. Courteous, friendly, and professional manner. Good team player. Customer service focus. Able to work productively with little supervision. Trustworthy and reliable.
PHYSICAL/MENTAL DEMANDS: Stands and walks short distances throughout shift. Constantly required to handle and move objects weighing up to 30 lbs. over short to moderate distances. Bends and stoops to perform routine cleaning and service tasks. Must be able to work well under pressure. Fast-paced work environment. Guest facing position that may handle conflict and/or encounter individuals who may be upset and emotional at times.
TRAVEL: This position is not expected to travel for work.
REMOTE WORK: This position is not eligible to work remotely. The candidate must be able to work in-person during normal business hours.
