Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Food Safety Quality Assurance Technician to join our team. This role is essential in ensuring that our products meet the highest standards of quality and safety in compliance with industry regulations. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in quality assurance and food safety practices, along with proficiency in various quality control methodologies and tools.

Duties

  • Conduct quality inspections and audits to ensure compliance with FDA regulations, ISO 13485, ISO 9001, and CGMP standards.
  • Implement and maintain HACCP plans to ensure food safety throughout the manufacturing process.
  • Utilize precision measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers, and coordinate measuring machines for accurate data collection.
  • Perform quality control analysis using vision inspection systems and other analytical tools.
  • Document findings from quality audits and inspections, providing detailed reports for management review.
  • Collaborate with manufacturing teams to identify areas for improvement in quality systems and processes.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of quality management initiatives to enhance product safety and quality.
  • Train staff on quality assurance procedures and best practices to promote a culture of quality within the organization.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience in a quality assurance or quality control role within the food manufacturing industry.
  • Familiarity with Calypso software for data analysis and reporting is preferred.
  • Strong understanding of HACCP principles, CGMP guidelines, ISO 13485, ISO 9001 standards, and FDA regulations.
  • Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data sets effectively.
  • Experience conducting quality audits and inspections, demonstrating knowledge of QA/QC processes.
  • Proficiency in using precision measuring instruments including calipers and micrometers.
  • Strong attention to detail with a commitment to maintaining high-quality standards.

Job Type: Full-time

Base Pay: $65,000.00 - $70,000.00 per year
