Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Food Service Supervisor to oversee daily operations in a dynamic food service environment. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, extensive restaurant and hospitality experience, and a passion for delivering exceptional customer service. This role involves supervising staff, ensuring food safety standards, managing food preparation and service, and maintaining a welcoming atmosphere for guests. The Food Service Supervisor will play a key role in maintaining high-quality food industry standards and fostering a positive team environment.

Duties

  • Supervise and coordinate daily food service operations, ensuring smooth workflow and adherence to company policies.
  • Oversee food preparation, cooking, and serving processes to maintain quality and safety standards.
  • Manage POS systems including Micros POS to process transactions accurately and efficiently.
  • Lead, train, and interview team members to build a competent and motivated staff.
  • Monitor food handling procedures to ensure compliance with food safety regulations.
  • Oversee cash handling procedures and reconcile daily sales.
  • Ensure cleanliness and sanitation of kitchen and dining areas in accordance with health regulations.
  • Provide excellent customer service by addressing guest inquiries and resolving issues promptly.
  • Collaborate with restaurant management on staffing schedules, inventory control, and menu planning.
  • Maintain a positive work environment that promotes teamwork, hospitality, and leadership.

Skills

  • Proven experience in food preparation, cooking, and food service operations.
  • Strong supervisory or restaurant management experience with team management skills.
  • Excellent customer service skills with the ability to handle guest interactions professionally.
  • Familiarity with POS systems such as Micros POS; cash handling expertise required.
  • Knowledge of food safety standards and proper food handling procedures.
  • Leadership qualities including the ability to motivate staff, interview candidates, and manage team dynamics effectively.
  • Experience in hospitality settings such as hotels or restaurants; barista or bartender experience is a plus.
  • Ability to work efficiently under pressure in fast-paced environments while maintaining attention to detail.
  • Strong communication skills coupled with organizational abilities to oversee daily operations smoothly. Pay: $18.00-$19.00 per hour
