Food Service Supervisor

Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Food Service Supervisor to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in the food industry, particularly in food preparation and restaurant management. This role involves overseeing daily operations within the food service department, ensuring that all food safety regulations are followed, and maintaining high standards of quality and service.

Responsibilities

• Establish methods to meet work schedules
• Train staff in job duties, sanitation and safety procedures
• Estimate ingredient and supplies required for meal preparation
• Hire food service staff
• Ensure that food and service meet quality control standards
• Maintain records of stock, repairs, sales and wastage
• Establish work schedules
• Supervise and coordinate activities of food service staff to ensure efficient operations.
• Oversee food preparation and presentation to ensure quality standards are met.
• Train and mentor new employees on food handling procedures and customer service best practices.
• Conduct interviews and assist in the hiring process for new staff members.
• Manage inventory levels, order supplies, and maintain accurate records of food stock.
• Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, including proper food handling techniques.
• Address customer concerns or complaints promptly to enhance guest satisfaction.
• Collaborate with management to develop menus that meet customer preferences while adhering to budgetary constraints.

Requirements

• Proven experience in the Indian food service industry, preferably in a supervisory role.
• Strong knowledge of food preparation techniques and restaurant management practices.
• Excellent leadership skills with the ability to motivate and supervise a team effectively.
• Familiarity with health regulations related to food handling and safety standards.
• Strong communication skills for effective interaction with staff and customers.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
• Previous experience in interviewing candidates is a plus.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $16.55-$20.00 per hour

Expected hours: 20 – 40 per week
