Overview
We are seeking enthusiastic, outgoing individuals to join the team in our rapidly expanding children's sports / activity based business within a sports and entertainment coach role.
We have a number of roles within the Leighton Buzzard, Bedford and areas in between and surrounding.
Successful candidates must be able to work Saturday mornings 8.45am - 12.15pm, but additionally some weekday mornings are a possibility for further hours. These roles are on part-time basis only (4 - 20 hours per week).
The roles would suit individuals looking to work around either childcare commitments, a college / higher education course or simply to bolster their existing earnings with extra hours.
No previous coaching, teaching or child care experience is required, but it would be highly beneficial to have hands-on experience in the entertainment / care of children aged 1-5, or to have a background in performing arts.
Ideal candidates will possess a naturally outgoing and fun personality, bags of energy and an ability to connect with and be a role model for children.
Your experience and capability would directly affect the level of responsibility and remuneration offered. However, real opportunities exist to grow earnings in line with your success.
Duties
- Lead or support sessions and deliver outstanding, engaging & fun sessions for our customers
- Follow session plans as accurately as possible within the correct time frames
- Deliver absolutely first class sessions to the highest possible standard to achieve our goals of being at forefront of the industry
- Maintain impeccable time keeping
- Capture digital content for our social media platforms
- Basic marketing and assistance in marketing/promotional events in accordance with your line manager
- Develop the ability and carry out training programs for coaches, tracking their progress in line with our guidelines
- Maintain session registers & attendance records
- Set up and pack away as per our guidelines
- Look after and maintain your equipment, kit orders and documentation required for sessions
- Ensure equipment is presentable and clean
- Build connections with the children by bringing energy and fun to your sessions
- Encourage and support children on their learning journey
- Be helpful to all children to help them achieve the training goals of each session
- Converse with parent/helper customers before and after sessions
- Be approachable for parents/helper
- Maintain communication with parents/helper regarding their childs development
- Observe children's learning ability and adapt to their individual needs
- Answer any questions and give information to the best of your ability
- Communicate requirements or requests from parents/carers back to your direct line manager
- Escalate any issues to your direct line manager
- Deal with first aid incidents as necessary
- Deal with on site issues as necessary
- Keep up to date with mandatory courses

Pre-requisites- A passion for sports and child care and a commitment to promoting a positive sporting experience for all participants- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills- A great attitude and work ethic- Basic organisation & administrative skills- Well presented
Nice to haves- Experience in sports coaching, teaching children or in the child care sector
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: £8.00-£17.50 per hour
Expected hours: 4 – 20 per week
