THE POSITION:

New-Line is currently seeking to add a full-time Forklift Operator/Hose Picker to our daytime Monday-Friday 8:30 am to 5:00 pm shift. As part of the Order Picking department, the Hose Picker contributes to the company goal of exemplary customer service by picking outgoing customer orders and branch transfers in an accurate and expedient manner.

• Physically fill customer orders by picking stocked goods in the warehouse
• Physically pick, cut, and wrap orders of hose to specific measurements ensuring a high level of accuracy
• Use a variety of different equipment and tools; forklift, high reach, saws, and knives
• Ensures that the appropriate tool is utilized to cut hose; follows procedure and ensures the highest regard for safety when cutting
• Ensure orders are picked free from error and packaged/shipped as the customer requires; orders to be filled in an expedient and orderly manner to ensure a smooth flow of warehouse operations
• Stages items correctly for delivery; includes wrapping skids when required following correct safety procedure for preparing items for shipping
• Communicate order status, timeframes and order completion with team regularly
• Ensures warehouse goals are met with the assistance of the team and order coordinator
• Exemplify safe working behaviors at all times in regards to lifting and the use of equipment, tools, or machinery required
• Ongoing clean-up of immediate work area is required throughout the day
• Basic building and/or machine maintenance may also be required
• Other warehouse duties as assigned

YOU HAVE:

• Forklift experience: Sit Down Counter Balance and/or Lift Truck
• Mechanical-inclination and eager to learn more about the hose and fitting industry; you do not shy away from using tools or learning to operate machinery
• Physical demands are required such as lifting, pushing, moving, and carrying of both light and heavy products throughout the day; able to lift up to 50lbs, comfortably
• Problem solving skills, such as effectively searching and identifying goods required to fill customer orders
• Excellent teamwork and communication skills; you enjoy working with others but can also be independent and self-motivating when needed
• High attention to detail and accuracy.
• Strong interest in learning and growing; especially in the field of industrial parts and service
