Fp&A Manager
Do you want to play an integral role in setting and steering Nilfisk’s financial agenda on a global scale? In the Global FP&A team, we drive business recommendations through financial transparency, financial awareness and visibility, while providing forward-looking insights. We define the financial structures, measure progress, and support business initiatives.
What you will do
The scope of your role will constitute a natural mix of recurring core FP&A activities and driving current strategic and financial topics, as our team seeks to support the Nilfisk Leadership Team in delivering on our strategy and goals.
In this role, you will lead the global planning process, driving input to Group planning and forecasts (budgets, quarterly forecasts, and ad hoc requests). You will also be heavily involved in developing and driving standardization across Nilfisk, while enforcing and advancing our accountability agenda.
  • Drive and improve the planning cycle: You will own, drive and continuously improve Nilfisk’s planning cycle, setting the agenda for a global planning community of 115 highly skilled finance professionals across 40 countries.
  • Strategic Partnership with Senior Management: Your role involves being a key financial partner to senior management, providing data-driven insights and guidance to help set and manage financial expectations.
  • Collaborate with Investor Relations: You will be a close partner with the Investor Relations team to ensure that Nilfisk’s financial expectations are clearly communicated to external stakeholders.
  • Continually developing and optimizing FP&A team processes, procedures, reports, etc.
Over time, you will have the opportunity to drive financial insights and impact decision-making at Nilfisk. In this role, you will be working with core FP&A activities and contributing to high-level planning, budget preparation, and business support.
Your responsibilities will include:
  • Leading planning processes and reporting to drive alignment on financial goals.
  • Developing data-driven insights that guide our strategy and support senior leaders.
  • Collaborating with business leaders to integrate financial insights and foster smart decision-making.
  • Ensure adherence and compliance to global processes.
In this role, you will be working cross-functionally with business leaders as an internal consultant to integrate insights and support optimal decision making. You will prepare ad hoc analysis based on budget/forecast numbers, budget-materials and presentations for senior management.

The position is based in our headquarter in Nordhavn near both the metro and train station. From here, you will be a part of the Global FP&A team with ambitious colleagues across Denmark, Hungary, and the US. You will interact with stakeholders throughout the Finance department including the Performance Management team, the Financial Reporting & Controlling Team. You will report to the Head of Performance Insights & Financial Planning.
Your journey at Nilfisk will be fueled by our focus on supporting your personal development through assigning clear accountability, setting high performance expectations, as well as providing ongoing leader & peer coaching and support. Following a successful first tenure you may want to continue in FP&A in a more senior role, as a Finance Partner, or, alternatively, you will use your skills, acumen and knowledge of the business to move into other positions in our global Finance and business teams.

The ideal candidate is comfortable in dealing with ambiguity and can as a self-starter streamline processes with a passion to learn, grow and teach. To be successful in this position we are imaging that you have:
  • 2-4 years of relevant working experience, e.g. within FP&A, Business Controller, or similar
  • A solid financial toolbox and business acumen which enables you to successfully translate numbers into convincing insights and solve business challenges
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong Excel modelling skills (Power BI experience is a plus)
  • A relevant educational background within Finance, Accounting, or similar

What happens with your application?
We will review your application and contact you for a phone interview if relevant. Hereafter, if there is a mutual match, we will invite you to an interview with the hiring manager and potentially a colleague. The 2nd interview will be with an HR representative together with the manager where the focus is on a feedback session on the respective personality assessment and aptitude tests. With some applicants, we may include a case in place of the aptitude test. The 3rd and final round of interviews will be an informal interview with the manager’s manager.
