Role Overview

• Position: Freelance Tour Guide
• Location: Wellington
• Contract Type: Freelance
• Payment: Fixed salary of 220 NZD/day
• Schedule: Flexible — choose the days and hours that work for you

Key Responsibilities

• Lead private, tailored walking tours for international guests
• Share engaging insights about Wellington’s history, culture, and key landmarks
• Adapt each experience to match the guests’ interests and expectations

What We’re Looking For

• Local Knowledge: Strong understanding of Wellington’s history, neighborhoods, and hidden gems
• Languages: Fluency in at least one language such as English, French, Spanish, Italian, German, Chinese, Portuguese, etc.
• Experience: Prior guiding or hosting experience is a plus — but not a must
• Flexibility: Ability to lead tours that typically last between 3 to 8 hours
• Bonus: A love for food and interest in hosting food-focused experiences
