About the opportunity

We’re looking for a Freight Handler to join our diverse and hard-working team at StarTrack Perth Airport. With e-commerce booming, our freight handlers are the folks making sure consignments are correctly loaded so we can get deliveries out to our customers, fast.

Not a morning person? This is the role for you! This is a permanent full time opportunity working 1.24pm - 9pm Monday to Friday. This role attracts a rate of $30.54/hr + 17.5% uplift for the PM shift and a $50 per week location allowance. Superannuation is 12%.

You’ll be

• Using your strong work ethic to help us keep delivering great service
• Handloading parcels and cartons from conveyor belts into trucks, ready for our drivers to head out on the road
• Unloading trucks when drivers get back to the warehouse
• Wrapping freight by hand or using a shrink wrapper (you know - like the ones at the airport), electronically scanning parcels and updating documentation

About you

• You’re fit and can lift at least 30kg repeatedly – we assess this at a pre-employment medical check to help make sure you’re safe on the job
• You’re laser focused, even when the role gets repetitive
• You’re a team player, passionate about helping our team keep the community connected
• You maintain full Australian working rights
• If you’ve got a forklift licence that’s a plus, since this comes handy moving freight around the warehouse
