In addition to the Hampton Inn in Hillsville, VA, our company owns and operates 8 convenience stores (Galax, Hillsville & Fancy Gap, VA), the Pizza Inn/TCBY in Hillsville, and Cockerham Energy, which provides propane and petroleum products to residential and commercial customers.

Position Summary
We are seeking a dependable, customer-focused Front Desk Associate to join our team at the Hampton Inn. The front desk plays a key role in ensuring smooth, efficient check-in and check-out processes while providing excellent guest service and support.

Responsibilities

• Welcome guests with professionalism and friendliness, answering questions and assisting with requests.
• Register guests by obtaining/confirming information, processing payments, and issuing room keys.
• Manage guest communications, including messages, mail, packages, and special requests.
• Provide information about hotel amenities, local attractions, and nearby services.
• Maintain accurate records by entering room and guest account data.
• Collect revenue by processing charges and obtaining payments.
• Make hotel and other reservations as needed, confirming details with accuracy.
• Communicate hotel policies and procedures effectively with both guests and team members.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Previous hotel front desk or customer service experience preferred.
• Strong communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
• Excellent customer service skills (in person, by phone, and in writing).
• Intermediate computer skills, including MS Outlook, Word, and Excel.
• Must be willing to work 2nd shift.
