Join our Southeast Lung Associates dynamic healthcare team as a Front Desk Receptionist (Medical), where you will be the welcoming face and first point of contact for patients and visitors. You will manage patient check-in/check-out, appointment scheduling and insurance verification.

Responsibilities

• Greet patients and visitors and guiding them through check-in and check-out processes
• Schedule appointments accurately using electronic health record (EHR) systems such as Athenahealth.
• Verify insurance coverage and perform insurance eligibility checks to facilitate smooth billing processes
• Manage multi-line phone systems with professional phone etiquette, directing calls efficiently to appropriate staff members
• Maintain and update patient records

Skills

• Proven experience in medical office administration or as a medical receptionist in a clinic or dental setting
• Strong knowledge of EMR system like Athenahealth
• Excellent patient service skills with a friendly attitude and professional phone etiquette
• Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously while maintaining attention to detail in documentation review and data entry
• Knowledge of HIPAA regulations to ensure patient confidentiality and data security
• Experience with insurance verification processes and understanding of Medicare policies is preferred

Pay: $16.00 - $18.00 per hour
