The Howard Center for Women’s Health is seeking a professional, friendly, and highly motivated individual to join our team as a Front Desk Coordinator / Medical Assistant at our Warner Robins location. This is a dual-role position for someone who enjoys both front office responsibilities and hands-on patient care in a fast-paced women’s healthcare environment.
The ideal candidate will be personable, dependable, organized, and experienced in both administrative and clinical duties. This individual must be committed to providing exceptional customer service and quality patient care while supporting both the front desk and clinical team.
Key Responsibilities
Front Desk Duties
- Greet and welcome patients and visitors in a warm, professional manner
- Answer multiple telephone lines and provide accurate information
- Schedule appointments and manage the office appointment calendar efficiently
- Check patients in and out, verify insurance information, and collect necessary paperwork
- Assist with patient registration and update patient records in the EMR system
- Send and receive medical records as needed
- Perform accurate data entry and other administrative tasks
- Monitor office supply inventory and assist with ordering as needed
- Maintain a clean, organized, and professional reception area
Medical Assistant / Patient Care Duties
- Take and accurately document vital signs, including blood pressure, temperature, pulse, and respirations
- Administer injections and assist with blood draws
- Assist the provider with patient care needs
- Prepare patients for examination
- Ensure timely and accurate documentation in the patient medical record
- Support the clinical team with back office duties as needed
Qualifications
- Previous experience in a medical office preferred
- Experience with front office duties and direct patient care required
- Experience taking vital signs, administering injections, drawing blood, and assisting with patient care
- Proficiency with EMR systems, phone systems, computerized scheduling software, and standard office equipment
- Strong typing skills with a high level of accuracy
- Excellent customer service skills and the ability to handle difficult situations professionally
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational and multitasking abilities
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to work well in a team environment and collaborate with both clinical and administrative staff
