About Us:

We are a locally and physician-owned medical practice specializing in allergy, asthma, immunology, and sinus care. We are seeking a reliable, friendly, and organized Front Office/Medical Receptionist to consistently support our Morristown office with partial travel to our Knoxville/Lenoir City/Maryville offices.

During the onboarding and training period, you must be willing to travel to our Knoxville office (drive time, mileage, meal stipend, and hotel will be paid).

Job Summary:

The Front Office/Medical Receptionist plays a key role as the first point of contact for patients. This position is responsible for providing excellent customer service and ensuring a smooth front office process, including patient check-in/check-out, scheduling appointments, coordinating referrals, and maintaining a professional, welcoming environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Greet and check in patients with a warm, professional demeanor
  • Collect and verify patient information and insurance details
  • Schedule and confirm patient appointments
  • Check out patients, collect copays and payments on due balances
  • Initiate and track referral requests; contact patients to schedule referred appointments.
  • Answer incoming calls and respond to inquiries in a courteous and timely manner
  • Maintain accurate records and ensure patient confidentiality
  • Travel between our Morristown office as well travel to our Knoxville based locations as needed to provide coverage
  • Assist with additional administrative tasks as assigned

Qualifications:

  • High School diploma or equivalent (required)
  • Minimum of 1 year of medical office or front desk experience (preferred)
  • Strong communication and organizational skills
  • Proficiency with electronic medical records (EMR); experience with eClinicalWorks (eCW) a plus
  • Driver's License (required) with reliable transportation and willingness to travel between offices (drive time and mileage reimbursement)
  • Strong written and spoken language skills
  • Friendly, patient-focused attitude with a team-oriented mindset

Schedule:

Monday through Friday, 8:00 am to 5:00 pm, with a once per week "late day" until 6:00 pm as needed.
